The beaches provide vital nesting places for the endangered sea turtle Caretta caretta. The west coast is rocky and rough, but offers a marvellous view. On the northern coast lies a shipwreck that can only be visited by boat. Porto Vromi, Kampi and Limnionas are located in the south, the small mountain village Keri lies in the southern end of the island, a lighthouse with a beautiful panorama is situated further uphill.
